Mr. S. S. Naganand, an LL.B. graduate and triple Gold Medallist, is also a qualified Chartered Accountant, having secured a National Merit Rank to his credit. He is the recipient of the “Living Legend of Law” Award conferred by the Bar Association of India.
With a distinguished legal career spanning over four decades since 1981, Mr. Naganand was designated as a Senior Advocate by the High Court of Karnataka in 2003. He presently is the Vice President of Bar Association of India and LAWASIA.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Naganand has made significant contributions to several legal, educational, and social institutions. He has served as President of the Karnataka (India) Section of the International Commission of Jurists, Chairman of the Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College and Trust, Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust and Member of its Council of Management, as well as of the Lahiri Advocates Foundation. Prior to establishing the Chambers, he was a Partner at M/s Sundaraswamy, Ramdas and Anand, Advocates until 2008, and subsequently a Senior Partner at JUSTLAW Advocates until 2025.
Mr. Naganand’s practice spans a broad range of areas including, but not limited to Corporate and Commercial Law, International Trade and Business Law, Taxation, Intellectual Property, Infrastructure, Power and Electricity Law, Venture Capital Investments, Arbitration and Mediation, and Land and Real Estate Law.
A highly respected figure in the legal fraternity, he has represented some of India’s leading corporate houses, banks, financial institutions, high-net-worth individuals, and public sector undertakings before the High Court of Karnataka, the Supreme Court of India, and various other judicial and quasi-judicial fora across the country.
His litigation portfolio also includes extensive work in Constitutional and Commercial Litigation, encompassing oppression and mismanagement, bankruptcy proceedings, and insolvency matters under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, and the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Naganand maintains a robust pro bono practice, reflecting his deep commitment to public service and his enduring passion for the law.
