The profession of law is regarded as a learned profession. It is vastly different from other professions. The role of a lawyer is to assist the seeker of Justice or advising, appearing and assisting a client to get Justice. The profession is very demanding mainly due to the large number of laws, law courts, and a huge amount of Judicial precedents. Constant updation in knowledge is essential for a lawyer.
The roots of this Chamber go back a 100 years to the establishment of a Law Chamber by late Sri S.D. Ganesh Rao, a successful lawyer, a social activist, an educator, a pious and spiritual soul who practiced from 1925 to 1962. His generous demeanor and fearless advocacy earned him an enviable reputation as a leading lawyer in Bengaluru.
In the year 1947, his son late Sri G. Sundaraswamy joined his father’s practice as a firm of Ganesh Rao and Sundaraswamy was established. Sri. Sundaraswamy was industrious, simple, erudite and persuasive advocate, who also served as an Advocate General to the State of Karnataka in the year 1970-71. His vast practice is seen in ample measure by law reports which reflect his contribution to the development of the law and practically every field of law.


His two sons, S.S. Ramdas and S.S. Naganand joined Sri. Sundaraswamy and the firm of Sundaraswamy, Ramdas and Anand continued practice even after the passing of Sri. Sundaraswamy in 1996. From 2008, the practice was bifurcated and Mr. S.S Naganand continued to practice in the name and style of Justlaw till the year 2025 when the ‘Chambers of S.S. Naganand’ was set up by him.
With a band of young and experienced lawyers, the Chambers has kept up the high traditions of the legal profession and renders quality legal redress systems in all branches of law in Bengaluru and New Delhi. In addition to an active professional life, Sri. Naganand is involved in a large number of Social Organizations and Trust in the field of law and otherwise.
